C. Pallavi Rao Narvekar

I won’t mince words.

I was the star radio jock of Delhi-the capital of India.

And, one day I lost my voice.

There got your attention!!!

It can’t get more dramatic than this. Right?

But then that’s how my life panned out over the years. A life full of action, comedy, romance and 100% drama.

I am C. Pallavi Rao Narvekar. Pallavi for acquaintances, Pallo for friends and fans on Radio Mirchi.

I started to blog, precisely, 11 years hence, post 3 major Thymoma surgeries, a cut and almost dislocated diaphragm, having survived cancer thrice , a Myasthenia Crisis, a type 2 lung failure, when one doctor almost gave up on me and n number of pneumonia attacks big and small.

Why blog my life? Well, having gone through so much drama in my life, got me thinking. It could not have been timepass, right? There had to be a bigger purpose to this. Maybe, just maybe the purpose was to reach out to the world and share my story? To create awareness about this still rare autoimmune disorder called Myasthenia Gravis? What is a day to day life living with a medical issue as bizarre and grave as Myasthenia Gravis? When do you know where to put a comma and a full stop to your day and activities? How do you control the crazy games the mind plays? How do you control that monkey in your brain?

Last year was a great learning for me. My up and about running blog, due to some technical glitch went down. I lost all my 70 odd blog posts. The same weak my back up hard drive too went kaput. The last few months, I have only been trying to retrieve posts and the short stories I had penned. It taught me, not to depend on technology much and to take it as a signal for something better.

I now write not only about coping with Myasthenia Gravis but also all the other wonderful things I do in my life, to keep the dis-ease at bay. This includes super food recipes as well as my art.

I live in Delhi with my husband, partner, and anchor for life Rahul Narvekar, ,the epitome of optimism, along with our son Rian Narvekar and three labradors, Shona, her daughter Kajri, Mishthi and the fourth and the naughtiest, Simba.

When feeling better with more strength, I like to paint, anything and everything and sketch and create beautiful corners, walls in my home, dwell a bit in cooking and am big time into alternative healing therapies like Reiki, Pranayam, Yoga, EFT, EMF, a fan of Louise Hay, Eckhart Tolle.

That my life would become this dramatic and I would end become an author and motivational speaker is something I never fathomed. For sharing your journey with me or to reach out for speaking events, you could Contact directly.
